Immigration woes

From 25 years ago, I remember many discussions about limiting or canceling the influx of immigrants. Even back then, those promoting this were criticized, ostracized and shunned.

Guess what, folks? Isolationists may be much smarter than liberals now seeking explanations for the killings and maimings by Middle Eastern extremists.

The Washington politicians say to hell with the unwashed public. Our ideas and opinions as to the country's problems are never considered.

The Boston bombing was only the latest example of problems created by unchecked immigration. The excuse given is the underfunding and lack of personnel.

If this is an honest assessment, then freeze approval of any new immigrant until the (allegedly) broken system can be repaired.

Remember, folks: These terrorists are not your German, Italian or Polish grandparents.

Those were real immigrants yearning to be Americans.
