Four hand-carved panels depicting the 23rd Psalm have been installed in Fleming Chapel at Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth and will be dedicated at a service at 12:30 p.m. May 5.

Each of the 4-foot-tall carvings, crafted by Jay Fann of New Mexico, features an image of a hand and a Scripture.

The images are, according to a news release:

"The Lord is my shepherd" features the nurturing hand of the shepherd hovered over the head of a lamb.

"Thy rod and thy staff comfort me" illustrates the hand of a shepherd grasping a staff.

"My cup runneth over" pictures two hands beneath a tilted urn holding a chalice overflowing with wine.

"The house of the Lord forever" refers to the flap of a tent opened by the shepherd's outstretched and beckoning hand -- an invitation to worship in God's house forever.

The church is at 305 W. Broadway Ave. just south of downtown.
