FORT WORTH -- A Fort Worth woman who was shot to death on a city street Monday morning was involved in a robbery in a vehicle, police said Tuesday, but authorities provided no other details.

No one has been arrested.

The woman was identified as Monica Soto, 24, who died at John Peter Smith Hospital shortly after the shooting. She suffered gunshot wounds to her body, and her death was ruled a homicide by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

Patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call shortly before 5:30 a.m. Monday in the 3800 block of North Terry St.

When they arrived, officers found Soto, another 24-year-old woman who had been assaulted and a man with an apparent gunshot wound at the scene, police said. The conditions of the woman and the man were not released on Tuesday.
