Former A&M coach visits Outback

Former Texas A&M Head Football Coach Jackie Sherrill stopped by The Outback on April 17 to visit with WHS Head Football Coach Weldon Nelms and talk about the upcoming 2013 football season. Sherrill is a contributing writer for TexAgs.com, and he's also the founder and CEO of GameOn Sports Nutrition.

Sherrill, who coached at Texas A&M from 1982-88 (52-28-1 record), won three Southwest Conference championships. He also coached at Washington State, Pittsburgh and Mississippi State, going 180-120-4 overall in 25 seasons.

As an athlete, Sherrill played at Alabama from 1962-65 under Paul "Bear" Bryant, helping the Crimson Tide win two national championships.
