Beginning Wed., April 24, through Wed., May 1, Farm-to-Market Road 1187 will be reduced to one lane from Oak Street to Elm Street daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the installation of box culverts. Flaggers will direct motorists through the construction zone. Elm Street at FM 1187 will also be closed starting Monday.

The $11.7 million FM 1187 project will expand the roadway to a four-lane divided, concrete roadway with raised medians, curb and gutter and sidewalks.

Completion is estimated for winter 2014. The new roadway will tie into another project known as Aledo Trail in downtown Aledo.

We appreciate motorist’s patience while crews complete this construction. During construction, alternate routes are encouraged.
