About the Hornets: New Orleans has dropped eight of its last 10 games. ... The Hornets are 11-29 on the road, 24th in the league in scoring (94.2 ppg), 23rd in assists (21.1 apg) and 14th in points allowed (97.9 ppg). ... New Orleans will be without No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis, who suffered a season-ending injury last Wednesday when he sprained his left MCL. Davis finished the season averaging 13.5 points and 8.2 rebounds in 64 games. ... Eric Gordon leads the Hornets with 17 ppg and Ryan Anderson averages 16.2 ppg and 6.4 rpg. Anderson had a double-double in Sunday’s 107-89 loss to the Mavs with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

About the Mavericks: The Mavs will host Fan Appreciation Night and will give away 20,000 posters, 5,000 caps, 3,000 koozies, two round-trip tickets on American Airlines, a pair of golf clubs and more. ... This is the final game of the season for the Mavs, who are trying to avoid their first losing season since finishing 40-42 in 1999-2000 . ...
