Summit Hilltop Partners, a group formed by real estate investor Will Martin, has bought the five-story office building at 1612 Summit Ave. in Fort Worth.

The 82,000-square-foot building, which has an underground parking garage, is 95 percent leased to 15 tenants, including the GCG advertising firm and Fort Worth Ag Credit.

Martin said he will move his office for W. Martin and Co. into the building this month.

Ameritas Life Insurance Co. in Omaha sold the building. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Summit Hilltop bought the building as a long-term investment, Martin said. Some improvements are planned.

Jeff Day of Centra partners represented the seller.

More people on the move

Mayflower, the St. Louis-based moving company, said in a recent study that economic indicators are showing an improved economy and housing market.

According to its first-quarter results, Mayflower handled 16 percent more moves than in the same quarter of 2012.

The first three months of the year historically are the slowest moving months, the company said.
