The Texas Rangers' game against the Tampa Rays started at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, with the temperature at 39 degrees.

The scheduled start time was 1:05 p.m., but the teams waited for the wet cold front to move through Dallas-Fort Worth.

The Rangers announced it's the second coldest temperature at the start of a Rangers day game since Rangers Ballpark in Arlington openend in 1994.

Derek Holland is starting the game on the mound for the Rangers.

Matt Harrison has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a lower back strain, retroactive to Saturday. The Rangers are expected to recall right-hander Justin Grimm from Triple A Round Rock to start Thursday in Seattle.

Grimm was scheduled to pitch today for the Express.

Harrison has been dealing with a lower back issues the past couple of weeks, and it has affected his first two starts. He is 0-2 with an 8.44 ERA.

Harrison could come off the DL on April 21 at the earliest.
