It boggles my mind that the Star-Telegram has been so commendably involved with the historical and environmental desirability of creating a 2,000-acre, crown jewel Prairie Park to our south as a refuge to our rapidly declining Monarch butterflies, intercontinental migrating birds and local prairie wildlife while turning a blind eye to preserving and protecting Fort Worth's premier landmark right on our doorstep, the confluence of the Clear Fork and West Fork of the Trinity.

The Prairie Park: a crown jewel. The confluence: a Cinderella.
