Kyron Birdine, the Arlington High School student who received four days of on-campus suspension earlier this week for tweeting a picture of his STAAR test essay, has had his on-campus suspension lifted.

Kiana Daw, his mother, said the suspension was lifted Thursday morning after she sent a Star-Telegram article to his principal. Birdine had served two days of the suspension.

School officials say he was disciplined in accordance with Student Code of Conduct policies, which allow for a review process.

"He's very happy," Daw said of her son. "He says he won't do that again, but he still stands by his statement that taking the test was meaningless for him."
