h Cheers: To Toya Norton of Richland Hills, the first black woman to sit on the City Council there. She is also coordinator of the Diabetic Empowerment Education Program at John Peter Smith Hospital. Toya, keep up the good work.

h Cheers: To the nurses in neuro ICU and on the fifth floor of the Richardson Tower at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. My daughter Nikki, who had surgery Feb. 6, had the best care. Special thanks to Kristina, Courtney and Nicole in ICU, Lisa and tech Heather on the fifth floor.
