At 7:30 p.m. this Friday night on stage at The Texas Opry Theater, the curtains will open with The Holla Band and all the horns will welcome Michael Hix from Arlington, along with his special guest John Sharp & Generation, Ginny Lynn, Hillary Stanton, Stephanie Pruitt and many others presenting their famous Rock N Roll Oldies Show.The Texas Opry Theater promises an evening full of entertainment provided by Hix and the Holla Band. Hix is one of the fastest rising entertainers in the country. From stage, studio and film, he is the true definition of the word "entertainer."You are invited to come experience this “great night of Rock-N-Roll nostalgic music that will span the decades of the 50's, 60's and 70's.” Along with a 10-piece band including the horns, you never know what surprises Hix will have up his sleeve. The Holla Band features a wonderful cast of extremely talented individuals. These performers have traveled all over the country performing with some of the biggest names in the recording industry.It has been about three years since Hix and his cast of singers and musicians have been on stage at The Texas Opry Theater. March of 2010 was a packed house with the entire audience getting into the spirit of the show. They were literally dancing in the aisles, standing ovation after standing ovation, laughing, clapping, hooping and hollering.The request to "Bring 'em back" has been constant ever since.Hix and fellow performers are all from The Arlington Music Hall, formerly known as the Johnny High's Country Music Revue. High was the patriarch of all of the Opry's and Live Theater Venue's in North Texas for over 30 years. He set the standards high to be a performer on his stage.High passed away in 2010 and the theater changed ownership.
