Fresh off its most dominant weekend since 2009, the UT Arlington baseball team comes back home for the first time in two weeks to play a two-game series with Oklahoma Christian.They play at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Clay Gould Ballpark and at 3 p.m. Wednesday at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie.The Mavericks blasted Louisiana Tech by outscoring the Bulldogs 21-2 during the three-game series, earning a 5-3 road trip that vaulted them to the top of the Western Athletic Conference standings.The last time UTA had such a dominating weekend came in 2009 when it outscored Northwestern State 25-2 over three games.Matt Shortall, whose first-inning home run on Sunday made him the first player to ever clear the batter’s eye at J.C. Love Field, leads the Mavericks with three homers and 30 RBIs to complement his team-high .370 average.Oklahoma Christian, a former NAIA school, is in its first season as an NCAA Division II program. The Eagles have lost their last four games after starting 18-11.
