It could be a soggy Easter.

The greatest chance for rain and thunderstorms in Dallas-Fort Worth is Sunday with a cool front rolling through North Texas this weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. The system also will bring slight chances for rain starting Friday night and continuing throughout Saturday.

"It won't rain every day but there will be a chance of rain every day," said Nick Hampshire, a meteorologist with the weather service. "The best chances are going to be Sunday at about 40 percent, starting in the morning and continuing throughout the day."

Friday's forecasted high temperature was 77 with a 30 percent of rain and thunderstorms in the evening. However, Hampshire said he expected most of that rain to remain to west of Tarrant County.

Saturday could hit 80 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain during the day, increasing to 40 percent overnight.

Sunday could reach the mid-70s.

However, a second front was expected to drop high temperatures into the mid- to upper-40s by Tuesday. That front will also bring chances for more rain.
