Aggies starter Rafael Pineda gave up no runs on three hits through 7 1/3 innings and UT Arlington managed just four hits in a 7-0 loss to Texas A&M in Tuesday night’s nonconference matchup at Blue Bell Park.The loss snapped the Mavericks’ two-game winning streak and drops the team to .500.The Aggies (18-8) put runs up on the board in the second, third and fourth innings. Troy Stein tripled to center to start the second and scored on a groundout to give A&M the early lead.An inning later, Cole Lankford stroked a two-out, two-run single to center with the bases loaded to make it 3-0. Texas A&M added to its advantage in the fourth with a solo home run from Daniel Mengden.UT Arlington starter Keegan Hucul (0-1) allowed the first four A&M runs on four hits through four innings. Chad Nack gave up another two runs (one earned) in two innings of relief. Kennedy Winn gave up one run in two innings.The Mavericks resume Western Athletic Conference play Friday night at 6:30 with the start of a three-game series at Louisiana Tech.
