Straight-ticket vote

A March 17 editorial stated that eliminating straight-ticket voting might result in fewer people voting in down-ballot races and on amendments/referendums. (See: "Straight-ticket voting not a priority")

Those too lazy to go through an entire ballot probably have not studied down-ballot items at all, which is good reason to eliminate straight-ticket voting. Better to have them not vote on those items than blindly follow a party line.
