An Arlington truck driver for Papa John's Pizza was shot dead early Saturday at a Papa John's in Oklahoma near the University of Tulsa in what appears to be an attempted robbery, Tulsa police said.

Robert Horton, 53, and a co-worker had arrived to make a delivery near the campus about 6 a.m., police said.

"They were unloading the truck and his partner heard something," police Detective Jason White. "He left the truck and found his partner on the ground and called for help."

White said police were reviewing surveillance video from businesses and canvassing the area for witnesses.

Police believe that at least three people were involved in the crime, but they had no suspects late Saturday.

Anyone with information about the shooting death is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (596-2677).
