Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Friendswood, is at it again. First, he wanted to impeach President Obama for undisclosed high crimes and misdemeanors. Now, in a tweet that was deleted after three seconds, he insulted Democrats everywhere by claiming they had lost a true believer with the death of Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.

"Chavez nationalized oil companies, censored opposition media and banned guns," Stockman said in his tweet. Doesn't sound like any Democrats I know.

Obviously, Stockman thought better about making such an outlandish claim, although not soon enough. He was caught by a website that specializes in publishing deleted tweets by politicians, among others. Hopefully, Stockman will use better judgment before tweeting derogatory comments. The Big Internet Brother is out there watching!
