I live in the Arlington portion of the Mansfield school district. Though I no longer have a school-age child, I still care who represents me on the school board, as decisions made directly affect me as a homeowner.

I support Karen Marcucci for Mansfield school board Place 5. Karen is highly educated and holds a dual degree in chemistry/chemical engineering from Texas A&M and an MBA from UT Arlington.

She and her husband have three daughters attending Alice Ponder Elementary. Karen actively supported the 2011 Mansfield school district bond package because she believes every child should be afforded a quality education.

She's also on the leadership team that brought the Big Hope mentoring program to Ponder.

Her goal is to have this program at every school in the district. Research both candidates, and I know you will agree that Karen is the right choice.
