An 84-year-old Garland man died Wednesday, four days after he was injured in a car wreck in Grapevine, police said.

Parsottamda Rana died in a hospital intensive care unit, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

The wreck occurred at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of East State Highway 114. Rana was a passenger in a vehicle that was eastbound on the highway when traffic came to a stop because of road congestion, said Sgt. Robert Eberling, a Grapevine police spokesman.

After traffic stopped, another vehicle hit Rana's vehicle from behind, he said.
