Lipan High School baseball coach accused of sexual assault of a child

A coach at Lipan High School was in the Hood County Jail on Wednesday, accused of sexual assault of a child and other charges. Tyson James Nolen, 25, is the varsity baseball coach, according to the Lipan school district's website.

Jail records show that he faces one charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child, one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact, and two charges of improper relationship between a teacher and a student.

His bail was set at $150,000, records show.

School officials and prosecutors could not be reached for comment Wednesday evening.
