h Cheers: To the four young ladies with the Birdville High JROTC program who dedicated their weekend to volunteering for the Cowtown Marathon. They got up at 4 a.m. Saturday and Sunday to go volunteer and worked that Friday night as well to help get it all set up. Great job, ladies!

h Cheers: To the Battle of the Books team from Walker Creek Elementary in the Home Town community of North Richland Hills for winning first place. Kids from first to fifth grades were on the team of 13.
