A Parker County woman was beaten, choked, locked in a room for three days and denied scheduled medical treatment, the Sheriff's Department said.

The 28-year-old victim told deputies that after an argument Friday, her boyfriend, Michael Dwayne Cosby, 44, assaulted her and held her against her will in the travel trailer they shared in the 1200 block of Oakridge Road in Azle.

Cosby choked the woman to the point of "almost blacking out" and caused injuries to her face, back, neck, arms, shins and knees, said Deputy Danie Huffman.

The victim told deputies that she tried to escape, but Cosby caught her and dragged her back into the trailer by her hair, Huffman said.

The woman said Cosby locked her in a bedroom inside the trailer and refused to take her to a medical center where she has scheduled treatment every two days for an unspecified illness. She said he finally relented, but made her cover her injuries with makeup, Huffman said.

"She said that Cosby threatened her life it she told anyone what happened," Huffman said. "A nurse called 911 for the victim."

Cosby was arrested Monday at a medical center in the 600 block of Northwest Parkway in Azle, Huffman said.

Personnel at the medical center told deputies that Cosby dropped the victim off, then phoned the facility and said: "Come hell or high water I'm taking [the victim] out of that damed place and nobody is going to stand in my way," a sheriff investigator's report said.

Cosby remains in Parker County Jail facing charges of assault with bodily injury. Bond had not been set Wednesday morning.
