GRAPEVINE -- A Colleyville Heritage High School music teacher is under investigation for an alleged improper relationship with a student, Grapevine police said.
"Right now, all that we can confirm is that we have a teacher under investigation," police Sgt. Robert Eberling said.No arrest had been made in the case Tuesday.The teacher, whose name wasn't released, was placed on leave Friday by the Grapevine-Colleyville school district. Police had alerted the district that the teacher was being investigated on suspicion of having an "improper relationship" with a student.The teacher will be on leave during the investigation. He served as a music teacher and assistant choir director at the high school, the district said.Principal Joe Harrington alerted choir parents about the case in a letter dated Sunday."While state and federal privacy laws prevent district personnel from publicly discussing details about these allegations or the persons involved, please be assured that we are cooperating fully with the police," Harrington wrote.Diane Smith, 817-390-7675Twitter: @dianeasmith1Have more to add?
