Fracking ban

I have never been prouder of my home state of New York than when I read that the Assembly has approved a two-year ban on fracking.

The ban would require that the state wait until the Geisinger Health System completes a review of health histories of people who live close to wells and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency finishes another review of effects on drinking water.

I only wish my adopted state of Texas would show equal concern.
