Ballots are set for the Keller and Northwest school board elections on May 11, with several contested seats and a few incumbents who are unopposed.

In the Keller ISD, Trustee Jim Stitt, 68, a retired teacher and former businessman, is just completing his first three-year term and is unopposed in Place 1.

Battling out for the Place 2 seat are Board President Kevin Stevenson, 51, a healthcare administrator, and challenger challenger Karina Davis, 43, a director of employee benefits.

There are two candidates in Place 3. They are incumbent Cindy Lotton, 58, an elementary school counselor in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford district, and Jack Davidson, a 56-year-old systems engineer.

All five candidates reside in far north Fort Worth.

In the Northwest School District Incumbent Judy Copp is unopposed in the Place 3 race. The 54-year-old retired teacher from Justin was elected to the board in 2012 to fill the unexpired term of Jeannette Leong.

There are three candidates competing for the Place 4 seat.

On the ballot are Ann Davis-Simpson, 59, an education professor from Roanoke; Edward R. Mergenthal, 39, a travel agency owner from north Fort Worth; and Kyle Morris, 32, service management professional from Haslet.

The Place 4 Incumbent Daryl Laney is not seeking reelection, meaning his 15-year run on the Northwest school board will come to an end in May.
