TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium was named one of five finalists for the Sports Facility of the Year by SportBusiness Journal.

The stadium, which first opened in 1930, underwent a massive two-year $164 million renovation before opening last September. The other facilities up for the award, which will be announced in May, are Barclays Center in Brooklyn, JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Fla., Marlins Park in Miami, and UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion.

TCU administrators, including athletic director Chris Del Conte, toured the renovations of UCLA’s basketball arena last June when TCU baseball played UCLA in the postseason. TCU is planning to announce a $50 million renovation to Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, which first opened in 1961.
