The Dallas-Fort Worth area is in for another week of spring-like weather with highs in the 70s through Thursday.

But later in the week is a different story.

It will actually be a little chilly this weekend with highs in the 50s and lows dropping into the 30s by Monday morning. Some areas could even see freezing temperatures.

"We can't rule anything out yet," said National Weather Service meteorologist Ted Ryan. "Right now, it is a possibility for some outlying areas."

Before the cold air arrives, there will also be a slight chance for rain Tuesday night but Ryan said it looks like it will be "just sprinkles." Another possibility for rain is predicted later in the week but is far from a sure thing.

"There's a lot of uncertainty Thursday and Friday in our forecast models," Ryan said. "But right now if somebody asked me, 'Would you bet on rain?' I would say no."
