Cowtown farmers market to reopen downtown

FORT WORTH -- Spring is coming to downtown.

The Cowtown Farmers Market will open for the season Tuesday in Federal Park Plaza, 1000 Throckmorton St., in front of Lanham Plaza. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Locally grown produce, cut flowers, plants, artisan bread, baked goods, tamales, soap, bath products and more will be available for purchase.

Produce grown within 150 miles of Fort Worth will include greens, lettuces, broccoli, herbs, spring onions and greenhouse tomatoes.

The market is also open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays at 3821 Southwest Blvd., in the parking lot of Texas Outdoors/Edelweiss Restaurant.
