Two motorcycle wrecks were reported Wednesday evening in Tarrant County, bringing to five the number of serious wrecks this week.

The first wreck Wednesday was about 5 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 377 (Denton Highway) and Stephanie Drive in Haltom City.

The motorcycle wrecked when a car pulled onto the highway from Stephanie Drive, Cpl. Joe Hackfeld, a police spokesman, said. The collision was being investigated Wednesday night.

A helicopter ambulance took the motorcyclist to a Fort Worth hospital, said Fred Napp, Haltom City's deputy fire chief. The man's condition could not be learned late Wednesday.

About 10 p.m. in Fort Worth, a motorcycle crashed at northbound Interstate 35W at Northeast Loop 820, according to police records. An early police report indicated that two people were on the motorcycle, which flipped into a construction area.

MedStar sent two ambulances, but the conditions of the injured people could not be learned late Wednesday.

Five people were killed in collisions involving motorcycles Monday and Tuesday in Fort Worth.

On Monday, two people riding a motorcycle were fatally injured in a wreck on Sycamore School Road in south Forth Worth. A short time later, a motorcyclist and a woman in the car he hit died after a collision on White Settlement Road at East Loop 820 in west Fort Worth. And on Tuesday, a motorcyclist was fatally injured in the 1700 block of Glen Garden Drive in southeast Fort Worth. -- Bill Miller
