FORT WORTH -- The names of the two people who died Monday night after a motorcycle and a car collided in far west Fort Worth were released Tuesday.

The motorcycle rider, Jeremy Williamson, 21, of White Settlement, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Tarrant County medical examiner's office reported.

Noemi Mendoza, 24, of Fort Worth, a passenger in a four-door Nissan, died later at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, the medical examiner reported.

The wreck was reported at 8:07 p.m. on White Settlement Road where it passes over West Loop 820, police said.

Williamson, on a 2008 Suzuki, was eastbound when the westbound Nissan started to turn south onto the Loop's access road, police said Monday.

The car was turning "on a protected green arrow," police said. Witnesses told investigators that the motorcycle "accelerated on a yellow light," according to a police report.

The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the car.

The driver of the car, 25, and a 2-year-old child were checked at the scene but were not taken to a hospital, police said.
