Tarrant Area Food Bank's most popular fundraiser, "Empty Bowls Fort Worth - An Artful Taste to End Hunger," is back with new features for lovers of handcrafted bowls and tasty food who also want to help feed hungry neighbors.

The March 28 event will include celebrity bowls signed by famous entertainers, soups and desserts by favorite area chefs, 2,500 pottery, ceramic, china, wood and glass bowls for keepsakes and raffles.

Roanoke artist Kash Mistry is participating in the event, which will include donated pottery and ceramic pieces made at the Pottery Studio of the Lockheed Martin Recreation Association in Fort Worth. Other contributing artists are from Johnson, Parker and Tarrant counties.

Proceeds will benefit Tarrant Area Food Bank and its 300 partner charities that serve more than 45,000 families per month in 13 counties.

This year’s event will include 2,500 handcrafted bowls by Texas artists and tastings of yummy soups and desserts from more than 30 Fort Worth restaurants.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Texas Hall inside Amon G. Carter Exhibition Hall at Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 West Lancaster in Fort Worth.
