A 57-year-old man died Monday morning after his car left the roadway and collided with a large utility pole in Hurst, police say.
Munir Niazi of Bedford was pronounced dead at 6:57 a.m. at John Peter Smith Hospital, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.Hurst police and firefighters responded to the wreck at 4:25 a.m. in the 500 block of Mid-Cities Boulevard, police said in a statement. The driver, the car's only occupant, was trapped inside the Toyota Corolla.Firefighters extricated Niazi from the car, police said.
