FORT WORTH -- Police appealed for help Friday night to find the driver of a vehicle that hit a pedestrian shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday in the intersection of East Seminary Drive and Wichita Street
"The victim had a suitcase with cash and other personal items that were taken from her while she lay in the roadway," Officer Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman, wrote in a news release.The woman was crossing the street. The vehicle's driver left the scene. Another person called 911, and the woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Neal wrote.She remained hospitalized Friday night, Neal said.Anyone with information about the vehicle or about who stole the woman's belongings is asked to call police at 817-335-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469 TIPS (-8477).
