Texas is last among the states in providing healthcare and in insured people. Gov. Perry and his Tea Party ilk reject the expansion of Medicaid, which is totally paid for with federal funds for several years.
Perry says to let the poor, sick, elderly and disabled just go to emergency rooms. Of course, that bullheadedness costs all of us billions.Other governors favored by the Tea Party -- Jan Brewer of Arizona, John Kasich of Ohio and Rick Scott of Florida, for example -- despite initial rejection have now made the financially sane and logical decision to accept this free money for the benefits provided to their states. The Texas Medical Association and Texas Hospital Association call for Perry to take the money. Tell the governor to quit the blustering, bite his tongue, admit he is mad about it but that the only financially sane thing to do is take the benefits of the Obamacare Medicaid expansion.-- Buddy Luce, SouthlakeHave more to add?
