The Fort Worth Brahmas go into Friday night’s game against Arizona needing only two points to clinch a Central Hockey League playoff berth, the team’s sixth in a row under coach Dan Wildfong.

A loss by ninth-place Bloomington on Friday night also gets the Brahmas in the postseason. Last-place Tulsa hosts Bloomington.

The Brahmas opened their final homestand of the regular season — five games — with a 3-2 win Wednesday against Wichita in North Richland Hills, when forward Brendon Hodge made the deciding goal in the seventh round of a shootout.

The Brahmas are 3-2-1 against Arizona, but Friday night is the first of back-to-back home games against the Sundogs. The Brahmas end the regular season with three games at Arizona, March 20-23.

Hodge leads the team with three goals in the past five games, a stretch in which the Brahmas are 2-2-1 but scored only seven goals.
