Trixie is a beautiful, 3-year-old shorthair tortoiseshell girl.

She was found lost from home and has been waiting at a shelter for what seems like forever. She can be cranky, but you would be too if you were sitting and waiting so long. She is longing for a home instead of a cage. Each day we give her more time outside the cage (in a secure meeting room) and she's responding great. She just doesn't care for the other cats, she would like the world to revolve around her. We don't recommend a family with small children since they might not understand her needs.

If you can appreciate this finicky feline, come check her out. She is litterbox trained, Feline Leukemia negative, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on flea prevention, so she's ready to go to her forever home. The adoption fee is only $40 and allows us to help more animals. You may see her at the Weatherford PetSmart Adoption Center, located at the shopping center at I-20 exit 408. Call 817-598-0702 for directions and hours. Or, call us at 817-694-5718 for more information.

Our Pet of the Week from last week, Nick, found a wonderful new home! Visit us at the Weatherford PetSmart each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our weekly adoption event and meet our adoptable dogs. Our adoptable cats stay in the adoption center at PetSmart and can be adopted during their business hours 7 days a week.

Most of our rescued pets are from a shelter or found as strays, all are in need of a second chance at a loving home. If you'd like to provide a temporary home to a homeless pet for just a few weeks, it's a wonderful life-saving way to help us rescue more dogs and cats. We'll provide the pet food and other supplies, we just need you to provide loving care.
