About the Stars: Dallas will be looking to bounce back from a 5-1 loss Thursday to Edmonton, which took 38 shots and scored in every period. It was the first time in 11 games that the Stars had been held to fewer than three goals. … The Stars were 8-5-1 in February, but they were 2-3-1 in the final six games of the month. Their .607 points percentage for the month was sixth best in the Western Conference.

About the Blues: In the first meeting, David Perron scored twice during a three-goal second period and St. Louis held on for a narrow 4-3 victory. Perron has six goals in 20 games, and only one goal and one assist in the past six games. … The Blues are giving up 2.80 goals a game and have killed only 80 percent of penalties, good for 18th and 20th in the NHL, respectively. … The Blues are coming off a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers after falling behind 2-0 in the first period.
