A curtain caught fire two hours before a ballet performance at Bass Performance Hall in downtown Fort Worth on Saturday night, causing a last-minute cancellation.

There were no injuries or structural damage, a Bass Hall spokesman said. Fire crews were on the scene investigating the cause of the stage fire.

The Texas Ballet Theater was forced to call of its Saturday night performance of Val Caniparoli's Lambarena & Voluntaries before anyone in the audience was seated.

Tickets can be exchanged at no cost for either of Sunday's two performances or for another ballet in May. Patrons can call 877-828-9200 for more information.
