Appointment

Easter Seals of North Texas has announced that Paul W. Bischler, vice president and chief sourcing officer at BNSF Railway, is the new board of directors chairman. Also elected, as vice chairwoman, is Laura Underwood, area vice president, retail of operations for CVS Caremark.

New hire

Aviation Search Group, an executive style search firm for the aviation industry, has announced the appointment of Beverly Brown to the position of sales manager. Based at the company's headquarters in Fort Worth, Brown will support expansion by generating new leads and working in conjunction with the existing team to identify business opportunities, and she will also assist with overall sales and marketing strategies.

The American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) has announced the hiring of Emmy Klein as its marketing/communications director. Klein was Theatre Arlington marketing director/volunteer coordinator for the past six years.

Honors

The Botanical Research Institute of North Texas (BRIT), in Fort Worth, has been awarded the 2013 BUILDY Award presented by Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums, based on organizational leadership and vision during the planning, construction and implementation of new museum space.
