Two masked men ran from the back of a Braum's restaurant early Thursday in southwest Fort Worth, gripping guns and cash from the business, but police were there to intercept them.

The men matched the descriptions of suspects in more than a dozen similar robberies, police said in a news release.

Surveillance images from one of the earlier robberies showed two men, believed to be the same ones from Thursday, wearing hoods, masks and dark clothing as they scurried about a restaurant, forcing three employees to open cash registers.

The robbery early Thursday was similar, police say.

At about 7 a.m., officers responded to a holdup alarm at the Braum's in the 7200 block of South Hulen Street.

"Upon arrival, officers observed two suspects fleeing from the rear of the restaurant," the news release said.

Shaquille Hunte and Kamron McGruder, both 19 of Fort Worth, were arrested after a foot chase.

Both face charges of aggravated robbery, according to police reports.

"Detectives are investigating 14 similar robberies, and additional charges are pending in those offenses," the news release said.
