Tammy Dombeck, the popular traffic reporter who left KXAS/Channel 5 last year, is coming to KTVT/Channel 11. But so far, it's a fill-in gig.
"CBS-11 has offered me a part-time position filling in for traffic when there is a need due to vacation/holiday schedules," Dombeck says in a Facebook email. "I will be on air this Wednesday for introductions and to explain my new position there."The gig begins in earnest next week, when Dombeck fills in during the 4:30-7 a.m. CBS 11 News This Morning for morning traffic reporter Whitney Drolen while Drolen fills in on the anchor desk for vacationing co-anchor Adrienne Bankert, according to CBS 11 spokeswoman Lori Conrad. Dombeck will also be on-air the following week, when Drolen is on vacation.Right now, this is purely fill-in, but it's possible you could see more of her depending on vacation schedules. The gig reunites Dombeck with CBS 11 morning co-anchor Brendan Higgins, whom she worked with for several years at NBC 5."I'm thrilled to be going to CBS!," Dombeck says. "We'll see where this next TV gig takes me."Wake-up callers: Meet the morning news crewsHave more to add? News tip? Tell us
