TCU, ranked 13th nationally, ran away with the team title during Sunday’s final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, Calif.

The Horned Frogs won by 25 strokes over No. 23 St. Mary’s at The Classic Club. TCU sophomore All-American Julien Brun was the individual medalist, shooting a 67 in the final round to finish five strokes ahead of senior teammate Eli Cole.

TCU completed a run that saw it lead the field at the end of each day of competition, posting an 8-under par 280 Sunday to boost its final team total to under 19.

The team title marked the Frogs’ first in a true tournament since the 2010-11 season, when they won the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Md.

Brun’s title marks his second of the season and fifth since the start of his freshman campaign, adding to his TCU record for wins in a career.

Cole posted the top finish of his TCU career after firing a 3-under 69 on Sunday. His under-5 total equaled his tournament best with the Frogs.

TCU senior Daniel Jennevret fired a 2-under 70 to climb into a share of fifth place at 1 under. Senior Pontus Gad and freshman Paul Barjon finished tied for eighth place at even par. Freshman Michael Culin tied for 69th overall as an individual entry.
