The Allen Americans repaid Fort Worth for a Saturday night thrashing with a shutout from goalie Aaron Dell, beating the Brahmas 4-0 on Sunday at the Allen Event Center.
Dell stopped all 26 shots Fort Worth sent his way a night after allowing two goals to the Brahmas in about six minutes of ice time during a 6-1 Fort Worth win.Fort Worth goalie Kristofer Westblom, who was ejected from Saturday’s game, was pulled in the second period after giving up Allen’s third goal, scored by Chris Doyle, at the 16:09 mark. Brad Fogal finished the game between the pipes, allowing Trevor Ludwig to score the fourth Americans goal less than a minute into the third period. Westblom and Fogal combined for 23 saves on 27 shots.Jason Deitsch opened the scoring halfway through the first period, and Anthony Maiani slipped in Allen’s second with less than a minute left in the period.The Brahmas collected 27 penalty minutes but never gave up a power-play goal.Have more to add?
