There was a whole lotta shaking going on in North Texas on Sunday.

Three minor earthquakes were reported near Waxahachie, DeSoto and Midlothian. No damage was reported.

A 2.4-magnitude earthquake centered about four miles north of Waxahachie hit at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The second quake, a 2.5 magnitude, struck two miles south of DeSoto at 6:56 a.m.

"Typically, people near the center of it will feel it," said geophysicist Don Blakeman at the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colo., on Sunday. "Those size quakes don't cause much damage."

The third quake, a 2.7 magnitude, was reported at 3:07 p.m. near Midlothian.

"We don't expect to see damage with a quake like that," said geophysicist Rafael Abreu at the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colo.
