A pair of unearned runs in the first inning put No. 22 TCU in an early hole from which the Frogs never recovered, and a four-run eighth inning by No. 20 Cal State Fullerton put the game out of reach as the Titans (7-0) handed TCU (0-5) a 6-2 loss Saturday afternoon.

TCU starter Preston Morrison (0-1) gave up three runs on four hits with two walks and eight strikeouts in seven-plus innings. Riley Ferrell come on for two innings of relief, allowing three runs on three hits.

Titans starting pitcher Justin Garza (2-0) shut out the Frogs for seven innings before giving up two runs in the bottom of the eighth. J.D. Davis then entered with one out, finished the inning and game for the Titans and earned his first save of the year.

Keaton Jones and Axel Johnson drove in the runs for TCU.
