If you have not noticed it in the Dallas-Fort Worth media, one of the top Division I women's basketball teams in the nation is only 95 miles from DFW -- the Baylor University Lady Bears.

They are No. 1 in the nation and have the top player in the nation in Brittney Griner and the top coach, Kim Mulkey.

Baylor Nation is proud of these young women as they try to repeat as national champions.

It is reported that Griner became just the eighth NCAA Division I player in the history of women's basketball to score 3,000 career points in the Monday game against University of Connecticut.

The Lady Bears are 25-1 this season.

There are many outstanding players on the team, and one we are especially proud of is Brooklyn "Brook" Pope from Fort Worth's Dunbar High School Lady Wildcats. Pope scored 18 points and had nine rebounds against UConn.

Sic 'em, Bears.

Fort Worth
