FORT WORTH -- A burned child was taken by helicopter ambulance Tuesday evening from a home in north Fort Worth to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

A 911 call was received at 8:32 p.m. from the 7500 block of Indigo Ridge Drive, firefighters said.

MedStar was called, but first responders summoned CareFlite. A helicopter landed about 9:05 p.m. and was back in the air with a patient by 9:15 p.m., according to first responders broadcasting from the scene.

A CareFlite dispatcher confirmed that the child was being taken to Parkland. The fire department had no other information about how the child was burned Tuesday evening.
