Sen. Ted Cruz alleges his attack on Chuck Hagel was based on "speaking the truth about someone's record." The truth is there is no evidence to support his innuendo-laden McCarthyisms.

His insinuation that Hagel received money form North Korea and Hamas, although prefaced with "We do not know," is abhorrent. He opined that Hagel, a war veteran, is not supportive of national security.

Cruz is not good for Texas or the U.S. He is a false prophet, dangerous and on a pathway to flameout.
