I wish to commend the teachers and staff of Southwest Christian Schools for presenting a wonderful program, "Living Museum," by the third-grade students, including my granddaughter.

Each student was tasked to select someone from a list of presidents and first ladies, from George and Martha Washington to Barack and Michelle Obama.

The students had to research and write a one-page paper about their subject, complete with a bibliography of their research. At the presentation on Friday, the students were dressed in the costume of the person they selected and had to recite what they had written.

The creativity of the costumes was amazing. It was an uplifting and very well-presented program.
